Reel Talk: A Working Man

Film enthusiast and award-winning screenwriter L.K. Byron breaks down Jason Statham's latest action film, A Working Man.

A Working Man punched its way into theatres nationwide this past Friday. Jason Statham, starring as Levon Cade, once again proves that he rightfully belongs as a strong lead in the action-thriller genre.
Cade, a distinguished former Marine of high rank, has transitioned into his role as the esteemed director of a construction team, earning widespread respect and commendation for his dedication. The action and revenge factor shifts into high gear when his employer’s daughter, Jenny Garcia, is kidnapped by traffickers who are mistakenly under the assumption that karma won’t be coming for them. Cade is now forcibly ushered out of his low-key lifestyle and propelled to step up and rescue Jenny at all costs, while proving that the Garcias are the wrong family to terrorize.
As the plot heats up, Cade’s extensive military training and experienced war tactics are put on full display as he stops at no lengths to inflict pain and carnage on Jenny’s captors. No one involved is safe as Cade violently demonstrates his one-man army is a powerful force to be reckoned with and a costly mistake to be overlooked. As promised, A Working Man is loaded with a plethora of fight scenes, action, and thrills. If these elements appeal to you, don't miss this new Statham project co-written for the screen by action icon "Sly" Stallone.
