Two historic Atlanta beer slingers celebrate their birthdays!

Yep! This is Atkins Park waaaaay back in the day like 90 years ago!
Atlanta’s oldest brewery restaurant Max Lager’s turns 15 and Atkins Park is 91!

It’s true that Atlanta has a legion of bars and pubs throughout the city, but starting tonight and tomorrow, two special locations are celebrating a combined 106 years of providing this great city with awesome brew and delectable grub!
Me and John from Max Lager's getting our sip on.
Max Lager’s Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery (320 Peachtree Street) is partying for 15 days straight starting Tuesday, March 5th with killer draft specials, live music by Jango Monkey, casks of goodies like their award-winning IMOS-Imperial Mocha Oatmeal Stout, beer dinners, and Happy Hour specials to name a few.  Congrats J.R. & Co.!

Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar in Virginia-Highland (794 N. Highland Avenue Northeast) proves they can still keep count of the millions of brews they have poured during an astounding 91 years by boasting “12,981,696 beers sold and still drinking.” Crazy, right?! Owner Sandra Spoon says, “With over 12 million beers sold, our guests know they can always enjoy a brew of their choice in a relaxed, yet fun atmosphere.” We can dig it! They will get things started on March 6 with oysters galore, special brewskies, and more.

Below are the specifics sent directly from both thirst-quenching locations. ‘Nuf resect to you Atkins Park and Max Lager’s! Atlanta obviously loves you guys!
