Beer Geek Brunch returns to Cypress Street Pint and Plate!

Special brunch and beer pairings featuring Lonerider Brewery Saturday, May 3rd at 11 a.m.

National Homebrew Day (May 3^rd), the Floyd Mayweather fight, NBA Playoffs, and the Kentucky Derby, so make sure you get off to a good start with the gangster Beer Geek Brunch hosted by Cypress Pint & Plate! Yep! Back by popular demand for 2014’s second edition, my homies Billy, Rob aka BrewRu, Ryan, and Raleigh, North Carolina-based brewery Lonerider are collaborating to dish out a mouthwatering menu and special suds on Saturday, May 3, starting at 11 a.m. to set the month off right!

Lonerider’s pouring four cask variations of their Peacemaker Ale which the BrewRu collaborated on. From the delicious food options Cypress is offering to the always festive atmosphere inside and outside on their much-loved patio, it should be a blast! I wrote about Cypress a few times including this feature for FirstWeFeast.com here, so I have no doubt they will continue to confirm my accolades. Cypress says: As guests gather on the patio in a cask beer festival environment, guests can choose from four brunch pairing options for only $15 each or, for the true beer enthusiasts, a VIP experience for $20, which includes an entrée and a flight of all four Cypress Street Peacemaker creations. For those seeking a lighter meal or just a cold brew, brunch items and Lonerider Peacemaker cask offerings may also be ordered a la carte.

  Beer Brine Roasted Chicken.

Black eye pea salsa, cowboy beans, apple slaw

Paired with Jalapeno-infused Lonerider Peacemaker

Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf

Red pepper potato hash, sunny egg on top, green beans
