The summer movie blockbuster season is still upon us and
a much-anticipated contender for your box office bucks, The Odyssey, embarks
its way into theatres nationwide this weekend!
Firstly, if your theatrical taste is satisfied by a
jam-packed cast of star power, The Odyssey checks that box for sure. To
name a few members on the list, Matt Damon, stars as Odysseus, Tom Holland
stars as Telemachus, and Anne Hathaway as Penelope. This family trio also
delivers the driving force behind a well-orchestrated plot and storyline.
Odysseus, the iron-willed Greek King of Ithaca, is courageously driven, amongst
an army of soldiers and against all odds, to safely return home to his wife
Penelope and son Telemachus following the Trojan War. On this highly eventful
homecoming mission, he and his crew face the roadblocks of beyond vicious
beasts, the onset of hunger, uncertain navigation, and withering thoughts of optimism.
Odysseus’s tumultuous journey to be reunited with his family delivers heartfelt
drama, suspenseful action scenes, and ignites the power of a battle tested and
undying inner strength of a warrior who refuses to succumb to the undeniable
power of his adversaries.
The Odyssey is surely to be recognized as one of
highlights of the summer movie season.
