Greenville, SC’s Euphoria Food and Libation Festival is this weekend!

Once again it’s on!

One of my annual favorite culinary events is coming up this weekend, euphoria, and its taking over Greenville, SC, once again from September 15th to 17th! Trust me, and it's going to be dope!

Get ready to indulge in some delicious bites prepared by stellar chefs across the Southeast, and, of course, I have to do something beer, right? Well I am hosting Plantains at the Pub at The Whale on Saturday, September 16th at 1 PM. This will include numerous course where I am pairing Caribbean-inspired cuisine cheffed up by Sofrito Latin Restaurant. It’s about to sell out so grab your ticket ASAP!

This festival's got it all, from the chill vibes beginning on Friday afternoon to the ultimate turn-up at Party in the Park that night. Then, on Saturday, it's all about Feast on the Field at Fluor Field and workshops and chef driven dinners in the evening. And on Sunday, I’m hitting up Hoppy Pairings for a craft beer and pastry tasting. Euphoria isn’t just about the festival – it’s a weekend of culinary experiences. So, cop those tickets, bring your crew, and I’ll see you at euphoria in Greenville.

See you there!

euphoria Announces Line-Up for 18th Annual Food, Wine & Music Festival

Record Year for Community Impact and Number of Events

Plans for euphoria2023 presented by Lexus include 55+ events over the course of four days, ranging from classrooms, lunch and learns, and wine seminars to musical performances, signature events, and guest chef dinners. Greenville’s award-winning food, wine, and music festival is set to take place September 14-17, 2023.

“This is a banner year for euphoria,” says Morgan Allen, Executive Director of euphoria. “We’re hosting more events, with more local restaurant partners, and giving more back to our community than we ever have before.”

The focus for euphoria’s 18th year will be on smaller, locally-owned restaurants. The tagline - “Savor - every taste, every sip, every note.” - is one Allen hopes will provoke some food for thought. “We chose to focus on some of our restaurant partners that might not always be in the spotlight, but show up every day to work hard and do what they love,” she says. “It is our mission to support those who’ve been part of euphoria from the beginning, as well as those who are just getting started and hoping to leave their mark on the industry. We are proud to build our schedule around this incredible group of passionate chefs, beverage professionals, hospitality enthusiasts, and dedicated musicians.”

euphoria continues to focus on education, with 45 classrooms, lunch & learns, and wine seminars. The events will be smaller and more intimate, with topics ranging from dim sum and oyster shucking to champagne & caviar, gin, macarons, and more. Several new venues are hosting events, including The Jones Oyster Co., Sum Bar, Patterson Kitchen + Bar, The People’s Tap, Camilla Kitchen, Scoundrel, The Community Tap, and Sassafrass Flower Farm. euphoria’s signature events are all back by popular demand, with Aged to Perfection on Thursday, Party in the Park on Friday, and Feast by the Field, euphoria’s signature tasting event, on Saturday and Sunday. New this year is the “Local’s Ticket” for Feast by the Field on Sunday, which offers a $15 discount to anyone with an Upstate, SC billing address. Sunday Supper, the laid-back Southern meal that serves as euphoria’s grand finale, will move to Greenbrier Farms, keeping the tradition of featuring South Carolina Chef Ambassadors crafting dishes with locally-grown ingredients.

A total of seven Michelin-starred chefs will collaborate for three different dinners. On Thursday, Chef Juanma Barrientos of one-star Elcielo in DC and Miami, the first Michelin star in history for a Colombian restaurant, will host By the Starlight: A Michelin-starred Dinner at Patterson Kitchen + Bar. Emma Bengtsson, the first female Swedish chef to win two stars and the second female chef based in the United States to do so, returns to euphoria for The Michelin Experience at Avenue on Friday, to collaborate with Chef Fredrik Berselius of two-star ASKA in New York City for a Scandinavian-themed dinner. Seeing Stars: A Michelin-starred Dinner returns to Soby’s New South Cuisine on Saturday, featuring Ryan Ratino of one-star Bresca and two-star Jônt in DC, Matthew Kammerer of two-star and Green star The Harbor House Inn in Elk, CA, Josiah Citrin of one-star Citrin and two-star Mélisse in Santa Monica, and Charlie Mitchell of one-star Clover Hill in Brooklyn, the first and only Black Michelin-starred chef in New York City, and the 2022 MICHELIN Guide New York Young Chef Award winner.

euphoria’s mission is to showcase and support Greenville’s thriving culinary and music arts scene while making a strong, positive impact on the community and raising money for other nonprofit organizations. In 2023, euphoria will fund projects for 7 Upstate charities, totaling more than $75,000 in grants. This year’s recipients include Greenville Tech Foundation, The Family Effect, Project Host, Walt's Waltz, The Giving Kitchen, Metropolitan Arts Council, and Feed & Seed. “We’re supporting nearly twice as many organizations as we did last year, and every dollar is staying local, making this our largest community impact to date,” Allen says.

Since euphoria was founded in 2006, the festival has funded projects for more than 50 local charities and made a significant impact on Greenville’s hospitality & tourism industries, economic development, and quality of life. In 2022, euphoria had a $4.8 million economic impact over the course of the four-day festival.

euphoria presented by Lexus is set for September 14-17, 2023. The schedule is available online, and tickets go on sale at 10am on April 20.
