The Cheapest, Most Expensive And Most Popular Beer Brands Worldwide

Yep! Another Infographic about beer! I dig 'em!

Evidently, the word got out that I am a sucker for infographics particularly about beer because I get them sent to me all the time. Due to my background in graphic design, marketing and journalism (plus being a lover of fun facts), I always found them entertaining. We can go back to when USA Today had those colorful cartoons with graphics called "Snapshots" at the bottom corner of their papers revealing everything from what country consumes the most chocolate to the most common travel frustrations. (See below.)
Well, as a segue to the latter subject (travel), I just received an infographic on the cheapest, most expensive, and most popular beers worldwide, along with some other entertaining factoids about the world's greatest beverage. Brilliantly written by David Adelman with FinancesOnline.com and designed by Ruby Media Corporation, I really had fun with the one. I added David's commentary and the series of possible answers to some kickass beer trivia.

Enjoy!

The Price Of Beer
David Adelman says about the infographic to the left (click on it and then magnify)...

I drink beer to supplement my bones with vitamin D and prevent bone degeneration. Saying that makes me feel I’m making a healthy lifestyle choice every time I pop a bottle. I could be, at least according to the International Journal of Endocrinology that had published a study on the health promise of beer (you can also check our previous infographic that matched beer against wine for health benefits).
But here’s the better news—beer can be dirt cheap in some corners of the planet. If you’re traveling and you enjoy a couple bottles of beer (and some more) after a day’s tour, our infographic will help you find the country where you can get really cheap “vitamin D shots”.
It doesn’t matter if you’re going to Central/Eastern Europe or Southeast Asia; both regions can get you drunk really cheap. Vietnam and Ukraine are the hands-down winners with beer at fifty nine cents per bottle. Other beer-friendly countries include: Cambodia, Czech Republic, China, Serbia, and Panama.
On the other hand, if you’re a heavy drinker, better avoid the Middle East. Not because alcohol is officially banned in many countries there (you can drink in designated places), but they have the priciest beers in the world. In Iran one beer is equivalent to 13 bottles in Ukraine!
The infographic also calculated which countries pay most and least for beer every year based on consumption and beer price. If you drink much you pay much, right? Germans are the third heaviest beer drinkers in the world. As expected they’re one of the biggest spenders, too, shelling out $235 per year on the alcohol.

But just southeast of Germany, things are different in Romania. Talk about enjoying both worlds–Romanians are one of the heaviest beer drinkers; they’re also one of the least spenders on the alcohol. But we encourage you to drink moderately… and pay moderately, too.

10 Ways Beer is Good For Us!

This Infographic below says so!
Whaddup?!

I know my blog updates have been a little sporadic due to all of my traveling lately (look for coverage of my beer-hopping trips soon), but here I am!
After exploring a few of Washington D.C.’s craft beer bars this past weekend like Meridian Pint, Churchkey and Brookland's Finest, along with D.C. Brau who always shows me love, I have tasted quite a few—okay, a lot—of wonderful ales and lagers on this trip. When Monday hit, I checked my emails and saw something that reminded me my consumption was doing my body some good thanks to the infographic I received from a company called WebstaurantStore titled “10 Ways Beer Makes You Healthier.”
As many of you know, I am already a sucker for infographics especially when they make sense for my site and provide some helpful facts complemented with illustrations. This one surely fits the bill since so many of my cherished readers want to know how beer is good for us.

Anyway, check this infographic out and links to its sources of research below for a more detailed explanation on the ten facts.
Sources:
·         Beer and Type 2 Diabetes
·         Beer and Kidney Stones
·         Beer and Hydration Levels
·         Beer and Heart Health
·         Beer and Cognitive Function
·         Health Benefits of Beer

·         Beer and Gastric Acid

Ultimately, take what you want from this, still drink moderately, and enjoy the best beverage in the world for as long as you can.

Cheers!

This infographic shows where you can drink craft brews in their Sky Clubs throughout the U.S.

Cheers Everyone!

I posted an Instagram of my tradition of pairing a Samuel Adams Boston Lager with those awesome Biscoff cookies whenever I fly Delta (which is 99 percent of the time). Along with the pic, I did drop a line stating my desire for airlines to step up their craft beer game and my willingness to help out via consulting. Well, a Delta employee nicknamed “Crafty” sent me an email conveniently on National Beer Day stating that his airline does a lot to support U.S. craft breweries specifically in their posh Sky Lounges; he even hooked up the infographic graphic for us to refer to along with some commentary in an email directly to me. Check it out:
Crafty said:
“So far, we offer 26 different beers (I’ve had nine) in 35 Clubs with more to come. Over the past several months, as part of Delta's focus on improving the overall Sky Club experience, there has been a focus on adding more local beers.”
Crafty added:
“The results are obvious, folks love tasting beers from various markets, and best of all, it's complimentary for all of our Club members.”

Well, I want to thank Crafty for the gem of info; it kinda makes me an even prouder Frequent Flyer of Delta. Now if only I got to kick it in the Sky Club to experience this myself when I fly to Nashville to explore Bowling Green, Kentucky and then to Philly for the Craft Brewer’s Conference; that would be even more dope! I will speak this…err…write this into existence I guess.

Keep sippin’ on the fly!

Here is the Brewers Association’s 2016 Craft Beer Year in Review

Here is one of the facts I received from the Brewers Association's 2016 review which happens to be my favorite beer style.

Cheers Y’all!

I am always about spreading good news when it comes to craft beer, and at the Brewers Association sent me a lot of it with their defining moments, facts and figures regarding the world’s best beverage for 2016. Go here for the direct link to their Web post discussing everything from the best beer city (Portland, OR) to the impressive percentage of people who are now pairing their beers with what they eat when dining out!
In the official press release, Brewers Association Chief Economist Bart Watson says, “In the face of numerous opportunities and challenges in 2016, small and independent craft brewers continue to thrive. This community should be very proud of what it has accomplished and how far it has come.”
Shout out to the Brewers Association for all they do! Read some of the major findings direct from their official release below. Also, here is a link to the awesome infographic stating some uplifting finds small and independent breweries made happen this year.
Peep it:

In 2016…

●     Brewery Count: Five thousand strong and growing, there are now 5,005 breweries in the U.S. compared to 10,000 wineries. Almost all (99%) are small and independent craft brewers.

●     Continued Growth for the Segment: By mid-year, small and independent breweries grew by eight percent, reflecting dynamism and a bright spot for the domestic beer market.

●     Never Go Out of Styles: IPAs continue to hop up, now accounting for roughly one-quarter of craft volume.  More sessionable styles, including golden ales, pilseners and pale lagers, are up 33 percent, totaling nearly five percent of craft.

●     Freedom of Choice: As the world’s two largest brewers merged into a multinational conglomerate two and a half times the size of the U.S. beer market, the BA was at the center of the discussion, advocating for fair competition for the nation’s small and independent craft brewers and access to market ensuring beer enthusiasts get to continue to choose from a vast variety of options. Approximately 65 percent of craft beer lovers said they are drinking more craft specifically because it offers more variety.

●     Homebrewing Impact: The National Homebrew Competition continues to be the world's largest beer competition with 7,962 entries. A recent measurement of homebrewing found that its 1.2 million participants created over 11,000 jobs, resulting in more than $1 billion in spending and over $700 million in revenues.

●     Beer Destinations: Recognizing a rising interest in beer tourism, Travelocity enlisted the expertise of the BA to find the country's best beer destinations and create the very first Beer Tourism Index. Additionally, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA)—the leading community for homebrewers—unveiled a list of cities across the U.S. where homebrewing is on the rise.

●     American Craft Beer Abounds Abroad: Craft beer export volume increased by 16.3 percent, totaling 446,151 barrels and worth $116 million. More than 100 small and independent craft brewers export their beer internationally, spreading the culture and community of craft beer and a growing recognition and respect for American brewers.

●     Bipartisan Beer Support: With a craft brewery in nearly every congressional district in the country, more than half of the U.S. Congress now supports the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act. The BA has been a key player in moving forward this bipartisan legislation that seeks to recalibrate the current federal excise tax structure for the nation’s brewers and reform burdensome laws regulating America’s brewing industry.

●     History Has Its Eyes on Beer: With support from the Brewers Association, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History announced that it will launch a three-year initiative to collect, document and preserve the history of brewing, craft brewers and the beer industry in America. The job posting for a Historian to study brewing history was one of the most viral beer stories of the year, an indicator of how much people care about this vital industry.

●     Perfect Pair: Beer and food continue to find harmony on plates and palates. Seventy-three percent of craft beer purchasers gave “complements my meal” as a very or somewhat important selection criteria in their beer choice when dining out. Sixty-three percent select beer based on the food item or meal they are planning to enjoy.

Note: Figures are a compilation of data provided by the Brewers Association, IRI Group and Nielsen and do not represent all craft beer sales. The Brewers Association will release a comprehensive annual analysis of craft brewer production in March of 2017.

About.com posts cool beer facts!

Whaddup Fellow Craft Brew Sippers!
My campaign to promote the fact beer is the world's greatest beverage has gotten more legs under it than a centipede walk-a-thon, and I thank you for it!
The very informative website About.com is obviously sippin' from the same glass by posting this enlightening infographic boasting fun facts on ales and lagers, including health benefits, how brew has less calories than most cocktails (which I have been preaching for a while), and the amount of cold ones Americans sip annually to name a few. Check it out!
Cheers!

Check out the awesome (and interactive) Infographic for Craft Beer Week!

Thanks to CraftBeer.com,, it is further confirmed that U.S. craft beers kick ass!

Whaddup!!!

My CraftBeer.com homies put me on to their latest infogram because they know I love cool graphics, popping color, beer, and a quick fix for information while I am on the go. This one above along with the extra dope interactive map here landed it during the spirit of Craft Beer Week! Scan over any region and a fun fact pops up!
Only one small beef: I wish Georgia, where I live, got more love than the three "Ps" and the haytin' restrictions that still curb our gangster brewers throughout the state! We still manage to brew liquid dopeness with or without our archaic laws thanks to the 14% ABV limit we implemented about a decade ago. In all fairness, the fun fact still reflects our potential though.
By the way, they have a beer calendar of things going on nationally this week here!
Please keep supporting the art of brewing. You know I do!
Thanks again, CraftBeer.com! Keep reppin' the craft.

Holla!
